The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The red-flanked duiker uses landscapes where forests and scrub alternate with savanna. Damper hollows and places with taller vegetation may be important. Available cover allows rapid retreat from open ground.
It eats leaves, fruit, flowers and young shoots, taking food from lower vegetation and the forest floor. Availability changes seasonally.
Activity often falls around dawn and dusk. Individuals may use the same area for extended periods. When threatened they retreat into dense cover.
nos → nasada ogona; ogon wyłączony. ADW podaje długość 60–80 cm bez nazwanych końców; głowa–tułów jest interpretacją, bez dodatkowego ogona. Dawna kombinacja Cephalophus rufilatus. Punkt to środek zakresu, a nie średnia populacji. Wysokość obrysu wynika z proporcji ilustracji; przód jest przybliżoną projekcją.
