Cephalophus dorsalis
The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The bay duiker uses dense forests where undergrowth provides concealment.
It feeds on fruit and seeds found on the forest floor, supplemented by leaves, fungi and occasional animal food. Feeding-site value changes with tree fruiting, so resources are not evenly available year-round.
Chiefly nocturnal, it occurs alone or paired. Threatened animals may freeze before abruptly escaping into dense vegetation. Forest paths and refuges help connect resting and feeding sites.
