The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The Eurasian wild boar inhabits forests, wetlands, scrub and farmland. Mature males have powerful forequarters, thick bristles and prominent tusks. The winter coat is longer and denser than the summer coat, and colour also varies between regions.
It is omnivorous, using foods available in each season. Rooting with its snout mixes litter and soil, exposing underground plant parts and small animals. This disturbance changes conditions for seed germination.
Females live in groups, while older males are often solitary. Groups move between rich feeding areas and resting sites. Individual size depends strongly on sex, age and living conditions.
Animal Diversity Web podaje dorosłym 66–272 kg i wysokość do około 90 cm w barku. Profil uczciwie zaznacza, że próg 100 kg przekraczają duże osobniki, a nie każdy dorosły dzik. Na planszy używamy 90 cm i pomijamy uniesioną szczeciniastą grzywę.
