Wahoo — size comparison — facts and sources

The wahoo is a slender warm-ocean fish with an elongated snout, sharp teeth and deeply forked tail. Vertical flank bars may be visible. It usually travels alone or in small groups through open water.

A fast predator, it hunts fish and squid. Its streamlined body and powerful tail support pursuit, while teeth hold or cut prey. It does not form the huge, consistently compact schools of many prey fish.
