Sunda colugo — size comparison — facts and sources

The Sunda colugo has large eyes, a short head and mottled fur resembling lichens on bark. Its most unusual feature is a broad gliding membrane connecting the neck, limbs, digits and tail.

It lives in Southeast Asian trees and is chiefly nocturnal. It glides between trees and feeds on leaves, young shoots and flower buds. Young cling to the mother and may be sheltered by a fold of her gliding membrane.
