The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The eastern massasauga (Sistrurus catenatus) is a small rattlesnake of North American wetlands. It inhabits wetlands and nearby grassy areas.
It basks on raised vegetation clumps or stones. It overwinters in burrows near the water table and may return to the same shelters.
It eats small mammals; young snakes also eat amphibians. Young move their tail tip to attract small prey. Older massasauga accounts included forms now separated as distinct taxa.
Środek zakresu dorosłych 47–100 cm. Starsza karta ADW obejmuje taksony obecnie wydzielane z Sistrurus catenatus.
