The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The royal antelope lives in the dense undergrowth of the Guinean forests of West Africa. It also uses sheltered vegetation near crops and forest roads. When startled it may first crouch or freeze before fleeing.
It eats leaves, young shoots, flowers, fruit and fungi. It feeds especially at dawn and dusk but may also be active at night.
It is secretive and usually seen alone; accounts also suggest that it may live in pairs. Deposited droppings help mark occupied areas. Leaps and rapid changes of direction help it escape through dense undergrowth.
