Ring-tailed lemur — size comparison — facts and sources

The ring-tailed lemur is a day-active primate from Madagascar. It inhabits dry forests, spiny vegetation and woodland along rivers. Grey fur, a pale face with dark markings and a long black-and-white ringed tail make it readily recognisable.

It eats fruit, leaves, flowers and small invertebrates, feeding in trees and on the ground. Ring-tailed lemurs spend a substantial part of their active day at ground level and live in social groups organised around females.

Samice przewodzą grupom, a zwierzęta ogrzewają się rano, wystawiając jasny brzuch do słońca. Suche lasy, zarośla kolczaste i galerie nadrzeczne.
