Ogilby’s duiker — size comparison — facts and sources

Ogilby's duiker inhabits wet equatorial African forests and Bioko Island. It favours closed canopies where undergrowth and tree roots create retreats. Range descriptions depend on the taxonomic classification used; older works group it with forms separated by other authors.

It feeds mainly by day, especially morning and late afternoon. It gathers fallen fruit, seeds and flowers. It may follow beneath monkeys moving through the canopy, using food they knock down. At midday it often rests in a sheltered place.

It occurs alone or in pairs. It returns to selected resting places and deposits dung at repeatedly visited points. When threatened it seeks forest cover. Its wild reproduction is poorly known.
