Burmese ferret-badger — size comparison — facts and sources

The Burmese ferret-badger has an elongated body, grey-brown back and pale head with dark stripes. It inhabits forests and their edges. Most feeding occurs near the ground, but it may also search trees.

Its teeth help break down hard-covered invertebrates, including snails and insects. It uses existing burrows and natural shelters rather than always digging its own. Chiefly nocturnal, it is also active at dawn and dusk. Social organisation is considerably less well understood than appearance.
