The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The Asian badger inhabits forests, steppes and semi-open areas of Asia. It has a stocky body, greyish fur and dark stripes on a white head; fur colour and size vary regionally. Powerful claws help it dig burrows and obtain food.
It usually emerges to feed at night. Depending on food availability it may live alone or share a burrow with other badgers. Retreats can be extensive, with several entrances and passages. Earthworms are important food in wetter regions, while insects may play a larger part in drier ones. It also eats small vertebrates and plant food.
