The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The long-nosed bandicoot inhabits Australia’s east coast. It uses forests, scrub, heathland and sometimes urban areas where cover and access to food-bearing soil remain.
At night it seeks invertebrates, roots and fungi, sometimes also eating small vertebrates. Its long snout investigates the ground and its forefeet dig characteristic small holes.
Usually solitary, it rests in shelter by day. Longer interactions chiefly relate to reproduction. Females raise very small young attached to nipples inside the pouch.
nos → koniec ogona; ogon wliczony. Tekst ADW: średnia długość całkowita 50,8 cm, ogon 15,24 cm wliczony; błędne pole 50,8 mm pominięte. Punkt odpowiada średniej przytoczonej przez źródło; kwalifikatory określają jej zakres. Wysokość obrysu wynika z proporcji ilustracji; przód jest przybliżoną projekcją.
