The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
Jentink's duiker inhabits wet West African forests. Closed-canopy forest is its main habitat, although it may also use secondary forest. It is sometimes observed on cultivated land while feeding at night.
Its described diet consists mainly of leaves and shoots, alongside available fruit. It most often leads a nocturnal life. It rests in sheltered places near fallen trunks, hollow trees and large roots. When threatened it can flee quickly but usually does not run far.
Solitary individuals are most often encountered. They are thought to use established areas, but territorial defence is poorly known. Knowledge of wild reproduction is also limited. Young initially have dark coats; the distinctive black forequarters and grey body develop later.
