The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The Javan warty pig is endemic to the Indonesian region of Java and neighbouring islands. It obtains fruit, roots, invertebrates and other available foods.
Rooting in the soil combines feeding with movement between sheltered places. Females and offspring may form groups, while adult males more often remain apart. In landscapes intensively used by people, the animals' activity can be difficult to observe directly. Habitat loss and hunting are substantial threats.
In agricultural areas conflict may lead to animals being killed without species identification. Coexistence with Eurasian wild boar complicates estimates of this Javan endemic's numbers.
