The Lesser Antillean iguana inhabits forests and scrub in the Lesser Antilles. Adult males have greyish skin, pinkish cheeks and a crest of spines along the back.

The tail lacks the black crossbands characteristic of many green iguanas. The species eats leaves, flowers and fruit.
