Müller’s gibbon — size comparison — facts and sources

Müller’s gibbon lives in Borneo’s tropical forests. Grey or brown hair contrasts with a darker cap and chest. It has very long arms and no tail. It travels through trees by suspending and swinging its body from its hands. Ashore it may walk upright with raised balancing arms but usually remains in the canopy.

Chiefly active by day, small family groups share a forest area; solitary individuals also occur. It eats fruit and young leaves. Older accounts included a broader set of populations under this name.
