The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The emerald tree boa (Corallus caninus) is an arboreal constrictor of northern South America. It inhabits humid lowland forests. Pale cross-markings decorate its green back, and a powerful tail holds it on branches.
By day it rests coiled on a branch with its head between the coils. At night it watches for prey and may hang its head towards the ground while waiting for passing animals.
It eats rodents, lizards and small marsupials. Older accounts included Amazonian populations now separated as Corallus batesii.
