The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The common coquí originates from Puerto Rico, inhabiting forests, scrub and places near homes. Brown with greyish markings, it has expanded toe tips for climbing leaves. It eats small invertebrates. Its name imitates the male’s two-part call, used both with rivals and to attract females.
Eggs are laid in a sheltered terrestrial refuge, such as a hollow or rolled leaf. The male stays with the clutch, defending it and helping maintain moisture. Larval development occurs within the egg: small frogs hatch without a free-swimming tadpole stage.
Długość ciała (SVL): od końca pyska do kloaki, bez ogona i kończyn. Przykład 3,95 cm z zakresu 2,4–5,5 cm podanego w Animal Diversity Web.
