The eastern green mamba is a slender, venomous snake of forests and coastal woodland. It spends most of its time in trees, where adults’ green colour helps conceal them among leaves.
It hunts birds and small mammals in the canopy. Its elongated body allows movement along branches and reaching prey concealed in vegetation.
