The northern quoll is a predatory marsupial of northern Australia. It inhabits rocky areas, savannas and eucalypt forests. It has a brownish-grey back with white spots and an unspotted tail.
It hunts chiefly at night for insects and small vertebrates, sometimes also eating fruit. It spends the day in rock crevices, tree hollows or other sheltered refuges. It can climb but also seeks food on the ground. Usually solitary, it is threatened by introduced cane toads: their toxins can poison individuals attempting to eat them.
Długość głowy i tułowia: od końca pyska do nasady ogona, bez kończyn i ogona. 27,2 cm to średnia HB z serii czterech samców przywołanej przez MammalBase (Nelson i in.).
