The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The bushy-tailed olingo inhabits Central America. It lives in tropical forests and spends much time in tree crowns. Branches provide travel routes, access to food and sheltered places.
It is active mainly at night and feeds primarily on fruit. While foraging it uses proficient climbing and balance on supports. Its tail helps maintain position but is not prehensile like a kinkajou's. Fruiting-tree availability influences the places visited on nightly journeys.
Details of social life and reproduction are poorly known. Older accounts also included populations later separated as distinct species, leaving some observations uncertain in their assignment.
