The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The black wildebeest inhabits open grassy uplands in southern Africa. It has dark fur, a long pale horse-like tail and forward-curving horns. A shorter muzzle and horn shape help distinguish it from the blue wildebeest.
It lives in herds and eats chiefly grasses. Groups move between pastures with food availability. Historical hunting greatly reduced numbers, while protection and reintroductions allowed population recovery.
Na wspólnej planszy używamy 111 cm w barku. Przyjęto dolny typowy punkt 111 cm, aby nie przedstawiać wysokiego samca ani grzywy jako standardu.
