The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The eastern bettong, Bettongia gaimardi, is a small rat-kangaroo of grassy forests and woodland. It has light brown fur, a short snout and powerful hind legs. Underground fungi are particularly important resources sought in soil and leaf litter.
It builds plant-material nests for rest and may use several shelters within its area. The tail helps transport grasses and twigs. Movement while feeding is more measured than the leaps made under sudden threat.
Długość głowy i tułowia: od końca pyska do nasady ogona, bez kończyn i ogona. HB dorosłych 32–33 cm z tekstu; nie średnia TL 65 cm ani błędna dolna granica 31 cm w tabeli.
