The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The beisa oryx (Oryx beisa) is an antelope of the Horn of Africa and East Africa. It inhabits dry steppes, semi-deserts and savannas.
It eats grasses, herbs, leaves and succulents. It can manage for long periods with limited drinking water by using plant moisture. It reduces activity during the hottest hours, while physiological tolerance of body-temperature changes helps limit water loss.
Oryxes live in herds, moving between feeding grounds according to season and rainfall.
Na wspólnej planszy używamy 110 cm w barku. Przyjęto dolną wartość 110 cm z zakresu Zoo Praha; długie proste rogi nie zmieniają skali.
