The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The Jamaican fruit bat inhabits tropical forests in Central America, the Caribbean and northern South America. Pale facial stripes and a nose leaf help identify it.
It eats chiefly fruit, particularly figs. It may carry fruit to a separate feeding site, dispersing seeds. When fruit is less available it also uses flowers, nectar or some insects.
It may modify large leaves into sheltered resting places, biting parts so that the blade droops like a roof.
Przykład 7,75 cm z zakresu 7–8,5 cm podanego w Animal Diversity Web.
