The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The Alpine ibex is a wild goat of high Alpine slopes. Hooves combining hard edges and gripping soles support capable movement across rock. Adult males carry thick, curved horns with pronounced transverse ridges.
It eats grasses, herbs, mosses and shoots. Social life changes through the year, with males often separate outside breeding. Its modern Alpine distribution also reflects population recovery and reintroductions following a severe nineteenth-century decline.
Koziorożec alpejski niemal zniknął z Alp w XIX wieku, ale reintrodukcje odbudowały jego populacje. Zoo Bratislava podaje samcom 90–100 cm wysokości i 70–130 kg masy. Plansza używa 95 cm w barku; róg, nawet metrowy, nie wyznacza wysokości.
