Addax — size comparison — facts and sources

The addax is an antelope of sandy and stony deserts and very dry savannas. Spreading hooves distribute weight on loose ground. Coat colour changes seasonally, becoming almost white in summer and darker in winter.

It eats grasses, herbs, leaves and shoots of desert shrubs, obtaining water from plants and dew. It can consequently go long periods without a waterhole. It lives in mobile herds and reduces activity during the greatest heat.
