Lysiosquilla lisa is a crustacean of the order Stomatopoda. It has a long, striped body and grasping appendages armed with spines. It lives in deep burrows excavated in soft substrates.

It ambushes fish and crustaceans from concealment. When prey reaches the entrance it rapidly extends its front appendages, impaling or grasping the animal. This apparatus differs from the substantial striking limbs of some other mantis shrimps.
