The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The channel catfish is a North American river and lake fish also introduced beyond its native range. It has a grey or olive body with dark spots and a deeply forked tail. Flank spotting may change with age.
It is scaleless and finds food partly through well-developed chemical senses. It eats invertebrates, fish and other available food. Eggs are laid in sheltered places, with the male helping care for the nest and developing offspring.
Długość ryby: oś pyska i końca płetwy ogonowej ilustracji; źródło nie oznacza metody SL/TL. 44,5 cm to przykład z podanej w ADW zwykle spotykanej długości 36–53 cm.
