The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The yellow-edged moray has a mottled body and a yellowish edge along the long dorsal fin. It occurs in the Indo-Pacific and eastern Pacific. It hides in rocky crevices and among reef structures.
It hunts fish, cephalopods and crustaceans. Without pectoral fins it moves by undulating its whole elongated body, easing passage through narrow spaces. Often only its head is visible from shelter.
Długość całkowita (TL): od końca pyska do końca płetwy ogonowej. Przykład, nie średnia populacji. Widoki są ilustracjami o przybliżonych proporcjach.
