Synema globosum is a small crab spider of flowers, shrubs and taller vegetation in warm sites. Round abdomens may have red, orange, yellow or pale areas around dark patterns.

It ambushes rather than pursuing insects. Two front leg pairs quickly grasp approaching prey.

Adults occur in warmer months. Males are much smaller with darker less rounded abdomens.
