Zoropsis spinimana originates in the Mediterranean region. In warm forests and other sheltered places it stays beneath stones and bark, while farther north it often appears in buildings. Its light brown cephalothorax bears a distinctive dark pattern, and its legs are banded.
It does not build a prey-catching web. It waits for a suitable opportunity and intercepts invertebrates with its front legs, aided by a rapid movement of the whole body.
The female guards egg sacs, attaching their silk coverings to her shelter. Its wolf-spider-like appearance does not mean it belongs to the same family; this species belongs to a separate group with a similar hunting method.
