The big-headed turtle inhabits mountain streams in Southeast Asia. It has a very large head, flattened shell and long, strong tail. Its head is so broad that it cannot fit completely beneath the shell.
Claws and tail help it move over rocky stream beds. There it hunts small aquatic animals.
