Pomsky (Pomeranian × Siberian Husky) — size comparison — facts and sources

The Pomsky is a Pomeranian and Siberian Husky cross. It often has erect ears, dense hair and a contrasting facial mask. Eye colour, proportions and size nevertheless vary greatly. Some resemble smaller Huskies; others have shorter bodies and fluffier coats typical of small spitz dogs.

It developed as a modern companion cross. Its ancestry combines a northern sled dog with the Pomeranian, long bred towards small size. The name covers both first crosses and later generations. There is therefore no single unchanging proportion of parental traits shared by all Pomskies.

They may be energetic, curious and interested in contact. Some vocalise readily, using both barks and howls. Husky independence may appear in exploration and interest in fleeing animals, while spitz ancestry may contribute vigilance. Similar appearance does not mean two Pomskies will react identically in the same circumstances.
