Français Blanc et Orange — size comparison — facts and sources
The Français Blanc et Orange is a large, long-legged dog with short hair. Orange or lemon patches mark its pale coat. It has drooping ears, an elongated head and a strong body. Its outline should suggest free, capable movement suited to hours of travel over terrain.
The Français Blanc et Orange belongs to the French tradition of pack hunting. Breeding focused on dogs able to maintain a shared pace without losing interest in a trail after a long run.
It is energetic and enduring, with smell fundamental to its behaviour. It readily investigates new trails and may remain absorbed in scent for a long time. While searching it chooses its own route while also responding to other hounds. When excited it can be vocal; calls aid communication at a distance as a pack moves through trees and scrub.
