Scutellosaurus — size comparison — facts and sources
Scutellosaurus was a small herbivorous dinosaur of Early Jurassic Arizona. Many small bony plates protected its skin. It was an early member of the lineage leading to later stegosaurs and ankylosaurs.
Limb structure chiefly indicates bipedal movement. Later modelling also allows occasional forelimb support, for example while feeding. The exact arrangement of all armour plates has not been reconstructed.
