Tuojiangosaurus was a quadrupedal stegosaur of Late Jurassic present-day China. Two rows of bony plates ran along its back, and its tail bore spikes. It fed on plants available low above the ground.
Described during the nineteen-seventies, the species became an important comparison for Asian stegosaurs. Its spiked tail may have served defence, while plates may also have contributed to displays and individual recognition.
