Stegoceras — size comparison — facts and sources

Stegoceras was a small pachycephalosaur of Late Cretaceous North America. It had a strongly thickened, domed skull roof. It moved on two legs and ate chiefly plants.

Numerous skulls allow changes in the dome to be tracked with growth. Strength analyses and preserved injuries test hypotheses of clashes between individuals. Age-related variation also helps distinguish young Stegoceras from other pachycephalosaurs.
