Saurosuchus was a large predatory crocodile relative of Late Triassic present-day Argentina. It inhabited Ischigualasto Formation environments alongside early dinosaurs and many other animal groups. Carnivory is inferred from anatomy, but particular prey can only be proposed as possible food-web components.

Saurosuchus galilei was described in 1959. Incomplete material prevents one secure length and precise whole-body proportions.
