Pinacosaurus — size comparison — facts and sources

Pinacosaurus grangeri was a herbivorous armoured dinosaur of Late Cretaceous Asia. It had a low body covered in bony plates and a tail club. Mongolian and Chinese remains occur in deposits including those of dry landscapes.

The genus was named in 1933. Later discoveries yielded bones of many individuals, including young, allowing armour-development studies. Skeleton accumulations prompted discussion of periodic gatherings.
