Oryctodromeus provided exceptional evidence of dinosaur burrow use. Remains of an adult and two young were found in a fossil tunnel chamber. Snout, shoulder-girdle and pelvic structure support the interpretation that it could excavate such shelters itself.

It was a herbivore. Finding an adult and young together in a burrow enables studies of shelter use but does not reveal every detail of parental care.
