Lurdusaurus — size comparison — facts and sources

Lurdusaurus was a heavily built herbivore from Cretaceous Niger. A broad body and relatively short, strong limbs give it a low profile. It had a small head on an elongated neck and a prominent thumb spike also familiar from its relatives’ body plan.

The find includes skull fragments and a postcranial skeleton, helping reconstruct its unusual outline. Substantial build alone does not establish a particular aquatic lifestyle.
