Lisowicia was a huge herbivorous Late Triassic dicynodont known from Lisowice in Silesia. A synapsid, it was neither a dinosaur nor a true mammal. Its discovery showed that mammalian relatives could also attain enormous sizes while dinosaurs were developing.

Bones indicate rapid growth but do not establish the full life cycle or each individual’s lifespan. Described from Polish material, the findings appeared in Science. Locomotion is reconstructed from limb anatomy.
