Liliensternus — size comparison — facts and sources

Liliensternus was a slender European Triassic theropod. An elongated neck, light head and long tail balanced a body supported on two legs. Forelimbs remained grasping, as in many other early carnivorous dinosaurs.

Material is incomplete, and some historically associated finds were later distinguished from this species. The profile represents Germany’s Liliensternus liliensterni. Head ornaments are partly reconstruction.
