Guanlong — size comparison — facts and sources

Guanlong was a Jurassic predator from present-day China. An early tyrannosauroid, it had an elongated thin skull crest. It walked on two legs; its forelimbs were proportionally longer than those of later giant tyrannosaurs.

Shishugou Formation skeletons described in 2006 represent different growth stages, allowing comparison of crest development. The crest probably served display. Diet is chiefly inferred from predatory teeth.
