Gobisaurus was an armoured herbivore from what is now China. Its low body, short neck and broad head follow the ankylosaur body plan.

Reconstruction of the armour and rear body is approximate. Studies of ankylosaur tail evolution indicate that Gobisaurus had a stiffened tail end without a bony club.
