Gigantspinosaurus — size comparison — facts and sources

Gigantspinosaurus was a stegosaur of Jurassic ecosystems in present-day China. Huge shoulder-region spikes distinguished it, and its back also bore bony plates. It probably fed on plants accessible near the ground.

The remains were found in Sichuan. Later studies redescribed its skeleton and compared it with other early stegosaurs. The large spikes may have served defence or displays between individuals.
