Dacentrurus was a large, four-legged stegosaur of Late Jurassic Europe. Bony plates and spikes decorated its body, and it fed on plants.

It was among the first stegosaurs discovered and has a long history of changing names and interpretations. Fragmentary finds from several European countries were assigned to the genus, but not all can reliably be placed in Dacentrurus armatus.
