Chindesaurus — size comparison — facts and sources

Chindesaurus was an early dinosaur of Triassic North America. Long hindlimbs and an elongated tail suggest an agile biped. It helps investigate early dinosaur diversity before major Jurassic groups dominated many terrestrial ecosystems.

Its skull has not been found, so the illustrated head is explicitly approximated from relatives. Its precise evolutionary position has also been debated. It is usually reconstructed as carnivorous.
