Bajadasaurus — size comparison — facts and sources

Bajadasaurus was an Early Cretaceous herbivorous sauropod of northern Patagonia. Exceptionally long, forked neck-vertebra projections curved forward. They are hypothesised to have formed passive protection against predators.

Described in 2019 from a skull and partial neck, it belonged to the dicraeosaurids, whose forked vertebral projections varied in size and shape. Most of its body remains unknown, so fuller reconstructions rely on better-preserved relatives.
